It is a beautiful peak that rises to the west of Ganja La (5122 m). From the summit of the peak, climbers will be awarded spectacular views of mountains in Nepal and Tibet, including Langshisa Ri (6,370m), Pemthang Ri (6,836m), Shisapangma (8,099m), Langtang Lirung (7,425m), Pemthang Kapro Ri (6,830m) and Langtang II (6,571m).
The technical difficulty of the climb is rated at Alpine Grade PD+. This is mainly a function of three things: the fact that you are on significant snow slopes for most of the journey above camp 1; some crevasses as you turn west below the Ganja La; and finally, the short ridge section to the summit. The summit can be gained in two days from Kyanjin with one camp at Branchen or Nyengang Kharka, or alternatively in three days with a second camp at Kangla Phedi just below the Ganja La.
Many small peaks in the region are suitable for climbers with no previous experience.

Detailed Itinerary of Naya Kanga Peak
Meet our airport representative and drive to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast, visit many historical, religious and world heritage sites in Kathmandu such as Durbar square, Boudhanath, Soyambhunath and Pashupatinath. In the Afternoon, preparation for the expedition and briefing.
Drive through scenic hills Dhunche. Overnight stay at Lodge.
Trek leisurely through forests and terraced hill slopes. At Syabru, you descend to the ridge line that separates the Langtang Khola from the Trishuli River. Overnight stay at camp.
Trek along the ridge on Syabru's main street and then drop to the Ghopche Khola (2050 m.) . Afterwards, you trek ascends gently to Rimche (2400m.) through Bamboo (1960m.) and at the end of the trail is the Lama Hotel. On the way one could see red pandas, monkeys and bears. Overnight stay at Hotel.
As you continue, see occasional glimpses of Langtang Lirung between the trees. At Ghora Tabela (3000 m), the trail comes out of the forest. Here, you can catch a glimpse of white monkeys and local birds. Shortly after reaching the village of Langtang, you can pay a visit to the nearby monastery. Overnight stay at lodge.
After crossing several small streams and moraines, the trail reaches the settlement at Kyangjin. We should arrive at Kyangjin by lunch time allowing time to acclimatize and explore the area. Views of snowcapped peaks all around us. You can enjoy the panoramic view of Dorje Larpa (6990m.), Langtang Ri (6370m.), Langtang Lirung (7245m.) and so on. Overnight stay at lodge.
Rest day and time to explore the area. You can visit the monastery and the cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri [4350m], directly behind the village, for a breath-taking panorama of the Langtang peaks. Overnight stay at lodge.
After descending, cross a suspension bridge over Langtang Khola and then move uphill all the way to Nyengang Kharka. Along the way, find juniper shrubs on both sides of the path. You can enjoy the views of Langtang Lirung and Langtang Lirung glacier. Overnight stay at lodge.
The trail is steep until you reach High Camp. You trek along the rocky and icy glacier. On this day one can enjoy the views of Langtang Lirung, Tserko ri, Ganchenpo peak, Kibgyu Ri, Yansi Tsenji peak and few others. Overnight stay at camp.
Trek downhill until you cross a suspension bridge over Langtang Khola. Then, ascend for about twenty minutes to reach Kyangjin Gompa. Overnight stay at lodge.
From Kyangjin we retrace our route, follow the Langtang Khola to Langtang village and on to Ghora Tabela. After lunch, we continue the steep descent to Lama Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.
This path takes us through the different Shepra and Tamang villages. The trail steeply descents to the Syabru Besi (1600m.). Overnight stay at lodge.

The trip ends, our representative will drop you at the Kathmandu international airport for your departure from Nepal.

Frequently asked questions
You should be comfortable walking for several hours a day on uneven ground, with some steep climbs. Regular cardio and hill walking in the weeks before you travel makes a big difference. Ask us if you are unsure about a route.
Most mountain routes need permits and park or area entry fees. We arrange the ones your route needs; the quote lists what is covered.
Walk slowly, drink plenty of water and sleep lower than the highest point you reached that day. The itinerary includes acclimatisation time where the route needs it. Tell your guide straight away about headache, nausea or dizziness. If symptoms get worse, the safe response is to descend.

It was an excellent and memorable trip arranged by creative adventure. We were 15 family members planned for pilgrimage trip but later combined adventures too for the sake of our kids. From the arrival and till departure, Ramesh Ji ‘s support was excellent. He was able to reach even at night for some emergencies. Excellent vehicles were provided and especially kind and experienced drivers were arranged. Because of the change in climatic conditions , our flight got cancelled and we were supposed to do road travel. We afraid a lot but the drivers were really experienced and helped us a lot in all aspects. Food arranged in hotels were really good. ( Only concern was they could have separated veg n non veg in different places n not on the same counters). Especially chef in landmark Kathmandu was so kind n prepared food specially for us. Cultural village in Janakpur also provided homely n decent food. We had a great n enjoyable trip all over. Thanks Ramesh Ji for arranging everything. We definitely recommend Creative adventure to everyone.
