Phenomenal Pokhara Tour
This 6-day Pokhara tour explores cultural marvels and old Hindu and Buddhist relics in Kathmandu Valley. We will visit various UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu valley distributed across the city.
In Pokhara, we tour the famous Davis Falls, Shiva Cave, Fewa Lake, and many more natural and cultural beauties. Moreover, we can enjoy the Himalayan splendor, with the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges nearby.
Pokhara has breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna range and Machhapuchhare peak.
Furthermore, its surroundings provide access to the most popular treks in the Annapurna area, including the strenuous Annapurna Circuit and Jomsom Treks.
Along with these trip routes, other smaller treks are as interesting as the Sarankot, Naudanda, Ghandruk, or Ghorepani treks.
The seven-day Pokhara tour includes experiencing natural scenery, either through witnessing the stunning snowy peaks or the peacefulness of the valley's several lakes.
Phewa Lake, Nepal's second largest lake, contributes to the mesmerizing beauty of Pokhara. The shifting light of the sun over Phewa Lake brings aesthetic peace to nature enthusiasts. Visitors may discover a slew of eateries and taverns on the lake's eastern shore. In addition to these attractions, boating, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, bird viewing, fishing, and angling are some of the activities available at Phewa Lake. Every Saturday, Hindu devotees perform animal and bird sacrifices to the goddess Varahi at the Varahi Temple, located in the middle of the lake.
David's Fall is a waterfall found on the Siddhartha Highway about 2 kilometers southwest of the Pokhara Airport. Along the line, you can tour the Gupteswar Gupha. The cave is near David's Fall and carries special significance for Hindus.
You can find a preserved phallic emblem of Lord Shiva.
Bindybasini Temple is the oldest religious shrine in Pokhara, built in the 16th century. The temple's main shrine is dedicated to the Goddess Durga, where Hindu worshippers flock to perform sacrifices, especially on Saturdays.
Mahendra Gupha and Chamere Gufa are two other major. You can reach attractive natural sites after a two-hour walk north of Pokhara. The Mahendra Gupha is known as the ‘House of Bats,’ and Chamere Gufa(Bat’s Cave) is aptly named owing to the number of bats living within their walls.
Seti Gandaki Gorge is a natural wonder that descends underground, disappearing from view in several spots throughout its course through the city. At times, the river is only two meters wide and creates a steep, tight valley. Mahendra Pul, a short bridge in the city center, is a wonderful site for viewing the river below.
The World Peace Pagoda, a gigantic Buddhist stupa on top of a hill on the southern edge of Phewa Lake, is a striking sight in Pokhara. Aside from being an amazing site in and of itself, the Buddhist temple provides an excellent vantage point with stunning views of the Annapurna range and Pokhara City.
The Old Bazaar, located 4 kilometers from Phewa Lake, is a historical bazaar and a colorful meeting spot for a diverse set of vendors. The temples and monuments are reminiscent of Kathmandu Valley's Newari architecture and have retained much of their original splendor. The Brindhyabasini Mandir, one of Pokhara's most prominent shrines, is also located in the ancient market.
