Tiger Hill: Tiger Hill is roughly 11 kilometers from Darjeeling. It is around 2555 meters in elevation and accessible by Gheem Rock, a great picnic site. It is noted for the stunning dawn vista it provides over Kanchenjunga peak, which Kabru and Pandim border. We can see Mount Everest and the other two peaks of Makalu and Lhotse on a clear day. You can enjoy the view between April and October. Also, the Sanchal Lake and Forest are lovely picnic locations near Tiger Hill. It serves as the city's water supply. To visit the site, you should get permission from the Darjeeling Municipal Officer.
Ghoom Monastery: Ghoom Monastery is roughly 8 kilometers from Darjeeling. According to some, the railway ascends 8000 feet at Ghoom Monastery, making it the world's highest railway station. This monastery, also known as the Yiga-Choling Gompa, is the most well-known Tibetan-Buddhist monastery in the vicinity. This monastery, established in 1875, has a five-meter-tall golden figure of Maitreya, the future Buddha.
Observatory hill: The Observatory Hill provides a spectacular perspective of the Kanchenjunga range's twin peaks. Lord Shiva reveres this location, and it is the location of the Mahakala cave. The Mahakal Cave Temple is located on the observatory's roof. A Red Hat Buddhist monastery, which was demolished in the nineteenth century but gave the hill station its name, is also located here.
Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre: The Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center is located in Darjeeling's central business district. Following the Chinese invasion, hundreds of Tibetan refugees moved to Darjeeling. The rehabilitation center was founded in 1959 to allow them to continue practicing their talents and create a market for their wares. In traditional Tibetan artistry, this workshop creates woolen carpets, textiles, trinkets, jewelry, and a range of wood and leather goods.
Himalayan Mountaineering Institute: Tenzing Norgay, who co-conquered Everest in 1953, formerly led the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. This academy teaches aspiring mountaineers how to climb hills and offers demonstrations throughout the season. This location also has a museum with ancient mountaineering equipment, including those used on that historic ascent, a model of the Himalayas, and an exhibit of Himalayan flora and wildlife. A telescope once owned by Adolf Hitler is also on display.
Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park: Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is a high-altitude animal park near the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. This zoo is home to the Siberian tiger, Himalayan black bear, deer, panda, panther, snow leopard, llama, and various beautiful birds.
Mirik: Mirik is a lovely destination recently opened to tourists. Mirik is a well-known hill station located 1800 meters above sea level, with a magnificent lake in the center.

Kurseong is located at an elevation of 1482.5 meters above sea level and gives a spectacular view of the plains stretching to the far horizon, more than 150 kilometers away. The two observation spots are Daw Hill and Eagle's Crag. You may find a silk growing station here. The railway station in New Jalpaiguri connects the town to Kolkata and other destinations.
