Best Time to Trek in Nepal: Spring vs Autumn Comprehensive Comparison

Choosing Your Ideal Season for Nepal

While Nepal offers trekking all year round—including rain-shadow treks like Upper Mustang during monsoon—the two undisputed crown seasons are Spring and Autumn.

Autumn (October to November)

Considered the absolute peak trekking window. Following the departure of summer monsoon rains, the atmosphere is scrubbed clean, offering crisp crystal-blue skies and razor-sharp mountain visibility.

Spring (March to May)

The season of life and color. Days are warmer and longer, and the entire Annapurna and Langtang hillsides burst into blazing red and pink rhododendron blossoms. Ideal for peak climbing with warmer summit temperatures.
